Grace & Ashes is delighted to present a new collaboration with Adolfo Arenas.

"Insolents" by Adolfo Arenas is a compelling artwork that deftly combines elements of the surreal with classical aesthetics.

The composition features two figures in a room that exudes a sense of historic grandeur, albeit in a state of elegant decay.

The walls are peeling to reveal patterns beneath, and the floor is adorned with ornate tiles, suggesting a setting that has seen the passage of time.

The figure on the left stands defiantly, with a skeletal, almost demonic appearance.

The other figure, a ballerina, is seated, caught in a moment of introspection or quiet defiance, as she gazes directly at the viewer. Her poise and the classical tutu contrast sharply with the unsettling presence of the standing figure and the decaying room around them.

Above them hangs a painting that is reminiscent of a classical religious work, possibly a reinterpretation of a salvator mundi, adding a layer of depth to the artwork's exploration of themes such as rebellion, divinity, and the passage of time.

The intricate details, from the textures of the walls and furniture to the accessories on the table, are rendered with meticulous care, drawing the viewer into the scene. The use of monochrome enhances the dramatic interplay of light and shadow, focusing attention on the forms and expressions of the figures.

"Insolents" is a provocative piece, sure to stimulate discussion and contemplation. It would be a striking addition to a collection, appealing to those who appreciate art that challenges conventions and invites interpretation.

Each piece of this exclusive collection is stunningly hand-signed and numbered by hand in pencil by Adolfo Arenas Alonso.

Printed on heavy weave paper and produced from a graphite drawing that took months to produce.

Large size: 75×55 cm

Technique: Gicleé iris print, embellishment on Fine Art paper 250 grams.

An amazingly shocking grotesque and erotic work of brilliant contemporary art by a yet-to-be-exploited artist who has turned down approaches from agents and galleries worldwide who want to sign this young Spanish artist... they know a genius when they see one.

I would go as far to say he is the next Lucian Freud with a bit of Banksy humour mixed in.

Each piece is signed and numbered by Adolfo, with small elemenets hand-colored.
