Spruce Up Your Space: Winter Edition

Cozy living room with warm hues and soft lighting

Alright, Everyone's Favourite Time is Here!

You won’t believe this, but winter has swooped in before we could even notice Autumn was gone! Love it or not, it’s the season of snuggly blankets, hot cocoa by the fire, and – most importantly – all-new home decor. Sounds amazing, doesn't it?

Start with Warm Hues

First and foremost, let’s talk about colour. For winter, move over, cool blues, because it's all about warm hues. Rust, chestnut, cream, burgundy...they set the right cozy vibe. What do you think?

Next, let’s not forget about our walls. Consider adding a stylish tapestry or two. And I'm not talking about any run-of-the-mill designs, Grace and Ashes has them in spades with comfort and luxury at their heart.

Upgrade Your Textiles

After that, it’s time to upgrade your textiles. How about investing in some plush cushions, cozy blankets and soft throws? Trust me, they'll be your best friends on those chilly nights.

Pair it with some beautifully patterned rugs (trust me, your feet will thank you) and voila! You have converted your home into a winter paradise.

Spicing Up the Scents

And hey, guess what? It’s not just the sights, but smells can play a part too! Candles in wintery scents can evoke feelings of warmth and coziness. Can you imagine that? So, why not pick up some awesome cider-scented candles or even some classic cinnamon ones?

Lighting Is Key

Finally, remember when I said ‘cozy by the fire’? While not everybody has a fireplace, you can definitely imitate its warmth. How about replacing those stark, white light bulbs with soft, warm, yellow ones? Better yet, fairy lights aren't just for the holiday season, scatter them around for a constant cozy glow.

So, my friend, creating a warm, wintery abode isn't a massive task. A few tweaks here, a few replacements there, and you're right at home (literally!).
